Abstract

The article highlights the issues of digital accessibility in education, in particular the challenges faced by educational institutions and students in the context of modern technological development. The article analyses the main barriers that prevent equal access to educational resources for people with special educational needs, such as inaccessible online learning platforms, lack of adapted learning materials, and lack of awareness of accessibility principles among educators. The article considers how these problems affect the educational process, limiting the opportunities for the general population to receive quality education.

The purpose of the article is to analyse the current state of digital accessibility in education, to identify the main challenges and limitations, and to outline promising areas of development that will ensure equal opportunities for all participants in the educational process.

Based on the analysis of current approaches to ensuring digital accessibility, the article offers recommendations for improving educational platforms and tools. Particular attention is paid to the need to implement accessibility standards, develop inclusive teaching materials and conduct training for educators. The potential of the latest technologies, such as artificial intelligence and adaptive learning, to improve the accessibility of educational resources is also considered. The article emphasises that digital accessibility is a key element in creating a level playing field for all students and improving the overall quality of education. However, in order to achieve this goal, a number of technical, organisational and financial challenges need to be overcome.
